Overview

Ball State University, commonly referred to as Ball State or BSU, is a public coeducational research university in Muncie, Indiana, United States, with two satellite facilities in Fishers and Indianapolis. On July 25, 1917, the Ball brothers, industrialists and founders of the Ball Corporation, acquired the foreclosed Indiana Normal Institute for $35,100 and gifted the school and surrounding land to the State of Indiana. The Indiana General Assembly accepted the donation in the spring of 1918, with an initial 235 students enrolling at the Indiana State Normal School – Eastern Division on June 17, 1918.

Emerging media are deeply ingrained in our academic and immersive learning experiences. We're home to the leading experts in the field, and we provide them with top-notch facilities to conduct truly groundbreaking research.

Barry College became Barry University on November 13, 1981. Barry University continues to be sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of Adrian, Michigan. It is an independent 501(c) (3) organization and has an independent Board of Trustees.

Scholarships

All current Ball State students are eligible for any number of national and international competitive scholarships and fellowships.

Boren Scholarships and Fellowships (NSEP)
Undergraduate and graduate study abroad of languages, cultures, and world regions outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Undergraduate Scholarships deadline: February 9, 2016 (campus deadline: January 12, 2016) Graduate Fellowships deadline: January 28, 2016 (campus deadline: January 8, 2016)

Critical Language Scholarship
Fully-funded summer program for undergraduate and graduate students to go abroad and study a language critical to United States national security.
Deadline: Late November
DAAD Scholarships
Study or research in Germany in any field. Various scholarship opportunities are available to both graduates and undergraduates.
Deadline: Varies by scholarship program
Major graduate study deadlines: October 31 or November 4, 2015
Major undergraduate study deadlines: January 31, 2016

Fulbright Program
Study, research, or teach English abroad (beyond the bachelor's degree) in any field to increase cross-cultural understanding. Recipients usually plan their own program of study.
Deadline: October 11, 2015 (campus deadline: September 4, 2015 at noon)
Gates Cambridge Scholarships
One to four years of study at Cambridge University, beyond a first bachelor's degree, to improve the lives of the world's citizens.
Deadline: October 14, 2015

Gilman Scholarships
Supports study abroad for undergraduate students receiving Federal Pell Grants.
Deadlines: October 6, 2015 (for spring) and March 1, 2016 (for summer and fall)

Goldwater Scholarships
Undergraduate study aimed at a career in science, math, or engineering.
Deadline: January 22, 2016 (campus deadline: December 4, 2015)
Madison Fellowships
Master's level study for individuals who plan to teach American history, American government, and/or social studies in grades 7-12.
Deadline: March 1, 2016

Under this we require information regarding the various scholarships & Bursaries provided by the Institute which the student can avail of as an International Student or once he/she has enrolled on campus.

The Ball State Indianapolis Center is located at the corner of Maryland and Meridian streets in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.

Located in the Showalter Building at the northwest corner of Tillotson and McGalliard, Facilities Planning and Management's mission is to provide timely, cost-effective quality facilities-related support to the Ball State University community.
