California State University, San Bernardino opened in 1965 and is a Public University. Cal State San Bernardino is listed among the best colleges and universities in the western United States, according to The Princeton Review, Forbes and U.S. News and World Report, in their respective annual rankings. Through its branch campus in Palm Desert, the university mission extends to the Coachella Valley.

Scholarships
Financial aid options are available to students. Our Financial Aid Office administers a variety of programs to assist qualified students. Sources of student aid include Federal Pell Grants, Perkins Loans and Work-Study. A number of scholarships are awarded to new and continuing students who attend CSUSB.
Students need to apply to FAFSA for access to federal assistance programs. Scholarships administered by the CSUSB Financial Aid Office can be applied for online.
Graduate assistantship is prohibited during the student’s first quarter of enrollment at CSUSB. After one quarter of study, graduate students may apply to work on campus up to 20 hours per week during the academic year. By working 20 hours per week, graduate students can earn approximately $1,000 per month.

CSUSB main campus sits on 441 acres in the suburban University District of San Bernardino and set at the foothills of the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains, in Inland Southern California. CSUSB hosts almost 800 international students from more than 40 different countries.
