Complete Antenatal Check-Ups & Guidance

Regular antenatal visits play a vital role in monitoring the progress of pregnancy and identifying any concerns early. At our clinic, expectant mothers are guided on pregnancy-safe exercises, nutritional needs, and lifestyle habits that support healthy fetal development. Antenatal Visit Schedule

Our antenatal visit plan is carefully structured for optimal monitoring:

• Once a month until the 7th month of pregnancy
• Twice a month during the 8th month
• Weekly visits during the final month until delivery

Essential Investigations & Screenings

We conduct a wide range of investigations to ensure early detection and prevention of complications. These include tests for hemoglobin levels, HIV screening, Hb electrophoresis to rule out thalassemia, and HBsAg testing to detect Hepatitis B. In many cases, certain screening tests are recommended for both partners to ensure comprehensive care.

During the first trimester, we screen blood sugar levels to detect gestational diabetes, monitor blood pressure, and check hemoglobin levels. Necessary vaccinations such as tetanus toxoid and flu vaccines are also administered as advised.

Early pregnancy confirmation is done between 5 to 6 weeks, and by the 7th week, fetal heartbeat and development are closely monitored. NT scans are performed to screen for chromosomal conditions such as Down’s syndrome, followed by growth scans around the 32nd week to assess fetal growth and well-being.

Women’s Preventive Health Care

At AAD Speciality Clinic, we also focus on long-term women’s health. We encourage women to undergo PAP smear tests, especially those above 21 years who have been sexually active for more than three years, to detect any early cervical abnormalities.

Women aged 30 years and above are advised additional screening such as HPV testing, self-breast examination guidance, and cervical cell evaluation for early detection of infections or abnormalities. For women aged 35 to 40 years and above, we provide added screening for hypertension and diabetes, along with lifestyle modification counseling.
